Young carers are ordinary children and young people under the age of 18, who help look after or support a member of their family.

This might be their Mum or Dad, brother or sister, grandparent or other relative who needs help or support due to

Disability

Physical Illness

Drug or alchol use

They may be the only person "caring" in a family or they may help someone else to provide care. Every young carer's situation is different.
