- on Thursday 23rd September.  The Gin Distilling class will be held within the state of the art 1881 Distillery gin school. You will be welcomed  through the doors and with a large Hydro Gin 1881 ‘London Dry’ gin and tonic in your hand to get things started and many more to follow.


Virtual tour of Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum

The Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum is home to the famous Scots-American Philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, and they are hosting a virtual break for Respitality on Thursday 24th June.  The Museum Visitor Services Officer will be taking you on a virtual tour of the museum, exploring Andrew’s humble beginnings in Victorian Dunfermline before his family travelled to America and he became the richest man in the world.


Virtual Tour with Rosslyn Chapel

Rosslyn Chapel is an amazing 15th century building near Edinburgh filled with mysterious stone carvings, that has sparked people’s imaginations for centuries. It featured in The Da Vinci Code book and film.

This zoom session, hosted on Tuesday 15th June from 2pm-3pm, will include a “virtual tour” presentation of the story of the Chapel, filled with images, and an interactive Q&A session where you can ask questions about the Chapel.

Single Cask Tasting Tours with Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery


Dewars Aberfeldy Distillery would like to offer an unpaid carer and a companion a Complimentary Cask Tasting Tours with lunch in their café. Dewars have advised this offer is unlimited and ongoing so please take advantage where you can!

COVID-19 AMENDMENTS: Dewars advise - We are taking 8 people on our tours at present, however group bookings are set at a maximum of 6 people. Social distancing is in place throughout the tour both for visitors and our guides. There have been a few changes made to the visitor centre in light of covid;

One way system throughout the building
Face masks are mandatory at all times, except when eating or taking a drink
Temperature checks and track and trace questions on arrival
Social distancing of 2m
Access to the production area is temporarily unavailable due to Covid-19. We are instead showing a film in our warehouse to explain the production process with samples to give you a multisensorial production experience.

All of the above apply to both guests and staff. And lastly we have had the ‘Good to Go’ status from Visit Scotland.
