Dare to dream

Why you should care

At the end of last year, the Scottish Government published its new Carers Strategy detailing how it’s going to support unpaid carers to sustain their caring role. Building on it, over the last several months, Angus Health and Social Health Partnership, with support from Angus Carers Centre, has been developing its new local Carers Strategy with carers and those who support them.

Now, the time has come for Angus Carers Centre to reimagine itself. With one in three people becoming an unpaid carer in their lifetime, it’s paramount we understand what is needed in our communities. If you’ve been an unpaid carer, tell us what organisation you would like us to evolve into.

Maciej Alexander, CEO of Angus Carers Centre said:

I joined Angus Carers Centre because I wholeheartedly believed in its cause and its potential to transform carers’ lives. It’s taken us a while to get to this point, but we are now ready to embrace the future go. As we evolve, I want to make sure we do all we can to listen to unpaid carers and act on your ideas to shape what we offer. We can’t change the past, but the future is ours to change. You have the power to shape our vision: what stays, what goes and what needs to change.
