Our dedicated High School Education Development worker is based within all eight high schools across Angus, throughout the month. The Education Development Worker supports young carers through one-to-one sessions based in schools, presenting to large school groups, providing knowledge and insight into young carers. This ensures all young carers are given the support they need in a timely fashion.
The Education Development worker assists with the completion of the Young Carers Statement and promoting young carer awareness with staff and the school community.
The Education Development School Service offers 1:1 support, information and advice for young carers who are not part of Angus Young Carers service and do not have an allocated worker. They will have a caring role that has the potential to impact them in school.
